Measured, not guessed

How Typing Speed RPG measures progress

Typing tests calculate correct WPM as correctly entered characters divided by five, then divided by elapsed minutes. Accuracy is correct characters divided by all typed characters, multiplied by 100. The five-character convention provides a consistent measurement unit without pretending every natural-language word has the same length. Some practice routes also show raw WPM, recent-run averages, peak WPM, variance, error counts, weak keys, and correct-character streaks so one personal best does not hide an unstable pattern.

Weak-key reports count mismatches by the character that should have been entered and surface the most frequent expected-key errors. Number tests separately report correct keystrokes per minute, KPH, correct digits per minute, and numeric accuracy. Targets such as a 95% accuracy floor are Typing Speed RPG practice heuristics, not universal scientific, school, certification, or hiring standards.

Scores are snapshots. Compare runs only when duration, prompt difficulty, language, keyboard, and input method are similar. Short tests emphasize bursts; longer tests reveal endurance and fatigue. Progress and settings are stored primarily in your browser, so no account is required to start and local results may not transfer between devices.

Who can use the game

The game and tests are designed for browser users who want short, repeatable keyboard practice, including beginners building accuracy and experienced typists comparing consistent runs. A modern browser with JavaScript is required for interactive play. A physical keyboard provides the intended experience; mobile battle sessions are shorter and use an on-screen input path. No account is required. Advertising and anonymous measurement services may appear as described in the Privacy Policy. Typing Speed RPG is a practice tool, not a classroom accreditation, employment test, medical program, or promise of a particular improvement. Start with the beginner game if the main battle pace is uncomfortable, or use the accuracy route before increasing speed.
